I initially found Thunda Thighs Plus size thigh high socks on Etsy, where their reviews jumped out at me. So, I threw my wallet at my laptop screen and ordered a pair of socks in every color and a Thigh Belt.
How do Thunda Thighs Plus Size thigh highs fit?
I’m skeptical of any plus-size pants, tights, stockings, boots, or socks that claim to fit my legs. My upper calves measure 25 inches around, and my mid-thighs measure in at 37 inches. In addition to having large legs, they are shaped by Lipedema. Lipedema legs have several lumps, rolls, and folds in unexpected places. I wear a size 26/28 pants, and I don’t have Lipedema-related cuffing at the ankle. I was able to pull the socks over my calves with no pain or problems. They easily stretched over my thighs. While wearing them all the way up to the largest part of my thighs, I could still pull and stretch them. Thunda Thighs has a right to brag about the quality of their socks. They are so soft and cozy. If your legs are always cold like mine, you’ll love these. They didn’t make me sweat, but I didn’t shiver either. These are beautiful high quality knit socks.
Do they stay up?
As loungewear, you’ll pull them up after walking to the kitchen for “second lunch.” If you plan on wearing them out, you’ll want to add the plus size thigh belt to your order. I was able to wear them all day with no thigh belt while working from home, but I pulled them up every now and then. I also rolled around in the bed to see how the socks moved. It wasn’t too bad, but if you roll around in your sleep, these will likely roll down to your knees.

I fixate on the things that people can do with their legs. I can’t cross my legs, I can’t bend them at the knee and sit on them, and I can’t jog. I’ve never been confident about my legs, but I felt sexy in my Thunda Thighs and that feeling is worth every pair.
